Need ARIH in Japan? Go to 7-Eleven

The BTS-backed Korean food and drink brand arrives in Japanese konbini after a quick rise at Walmart in the United States.

A new Korean food brand with BTS behind it is making its Japanese debut in an especially Japanese way: at the convenience store.

Beginning Aug. 20, 2026, ARIH is rolling out exclusively at 7-Eleven stores across Japan, with 16 products including noodles, energy drinks and sodas.

ARIH was developed by the Korean food companies Paldo and hy, with BTS involved from the planning stage, including work on flavors, packaging and the broader brand concept. The company describes the result as “modern balance food,” an attempt to recast Korean flavors for a global, increasingly health-conscious market.

In Japan, the centerpiece is Modern Noodles, a line of brothless noodles with wide, fettuccine-like strands. The four flavors — Gochujang Butter, Vongole, Korean Spicy Seaweed and Truffle Bulgogi — lean deliberately away from conventional instant ramen. Four Postbiotic Energy Drinks and four Dual Biotic Sodas round out the lineup.

The Japanese launch comes only a few months after ARIH’s debut in the United States. The brand went on sale at Walmart on April 24, and, according to the companies, received a “Best Seller” badge in its online category within three days. Some stores also sold out.

ARIH followed with a South Korean launch on June 1, introducing 28 products there. By August, the brand was also moving into Canada through Loblaw, whose retail banners include Loblaws and Real Canadian Superstore.
