MUJI Stans, Don’t Miss the Finds Hiding at Lawson

MUJI at Lawson is no longer a novelty. What began as a limited rollout has grown into a nationwide presence, with everything from snacks and skin care to stationery appearing on convenience-store shelves.

But for MUJI stans, there is another reason to stop by. Lawson and Ryohin Keikaku, the Japanese company behind MUJI, have also been developing products specifically for the convenience-store chain. That means some MUJI items are available only at Lawson.

Here are five categories worth looking for.

T-Shirts Made for Lawson

One of the biggest additions arrived in June 2026: a 100 percent cotton crew-neck T-shirt developed by Lawson and Ryohin Keikaku.

Priced at ¥1,290, it comes in off-white, gray, black and black stripes, with sizes from S to XL. The slightly roomy, unisex cut works on its own or as a layering piece.

This is not simply a regular MUJI shirt stocked at a convenience store. It was developed specifically for Lawson and is sold only there.

MUJI Socks: The Ultimate Konbini Souvenir?

Lawson also has its own MUJI socks.

There is a dark-navy striped version of MUJI’s signature right-angle socks, but the pair that really looks the part is white with blue and pink stripes — the familiar colors of Lawson.

The color combination first appeared in a Lawson-exclusive MUJI collaboration in 2024. The current short-length version costs ¥430 and comes in two sizes.

For anyone looking for a souvenir that brings together two very Japanese obsessions — MUJI and konbini — it is hard to do much better than a pair of MUJI socks in Lawson colors, bought at Lawson.

Stationery You Won’t Find at MUJI

The exclusives also extend into one of MUJI’s most recognizable categories: stationery.

A gray B5 half-size polypropylene-covered double-ring notebook with 5 mm grid paper is priced at ¥389. There is also a white low-center-of-gravity mechanical pencil that advances its lead when shaken, priced at ¥750.

Both look unmistakably MUJI, which makes their Lawson-only status easy to miss. Unless you know to look for them, they could pass for something picked up at a regular MUJI store.

A Lawson-Only MUJI Bag

There is also a foldable polypropylene mini tote bag in dark gray, priced at ¥550.

Compact and lightweight, it folds down when not in use and works as an extra bag for small purchases.

Like much of the Lawson-only range, there is nothing overtly convenience-store-like about it. It is quiet, functional and very MUJI — except this particular version is hiding at Lawson.

Hair Care, From Shampoo to a Wooden Comb

Lawson’s MUJI exclusives also cover hair care.

The ¥1,089 Essential Oil Aroma Shampoo & Conditioner trial set, scented with Japanese cypress and lavender, was jointly developed by Lawson and Ryohin Keikaku with travel and short stays in mind.

Then there is the much simpler beechwood hair comb, priced at ¥548. Its wide wooden teeth can be used for combing hair as well as gently massaging the scalp.

Together, they show how far the Lawson-only lineup has expanded: from something you might grab because you forgot your shampoo to something you might make a special Lawson stop to find.

So if MUJI is already on your Japan shopping list, add Lawson to it too. Some of the more unexpected MUJI finds are hiding under that blue sign.
